I 'm just learning about thread painting/art. This book gives some very basic directions to get you started, easy to read and several nice examples are included. I bought as an eBook, wish I'd purchased the real book as I think it would be a good reference.

Soon I was obsessively watching each of her wonderful thread sketching videos and quickly began longing to stitch and create just like Deborah was doing.But even with hours and hours of watching and re-watching Deborah Wirsu’s helpful videos - I still couldn’t seem to move myself past strong feelings of insecurity and intimidation enough to give thread sketching a try. This guide includes a fabulous amount of well-organized information, offered in clear chunks. On!y one bit of instruction was omitted. Many times a thread sketching project, including hers , requires you to move from one place to another, with no stitches between. In her videos, she simply moves the needle to the new spot, leaving a thread trail connecting the two spots. Are we to use start and stop stitches, and simply clip the connecting thread later, or pull it to the back, or? Thanks, Deborah, for a great guide.
This book is a treasure if you want to become a pro at thread sketching. Great book for beginners. Full of details in every word. No waist of time here. Deborah is a fantastic teacher.
